David Kosak
David was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Frank Kosak and Betty Jordan but both his parents came from Slovenia. His father born in Cleveland soon after the parents emigrated but his mother born in Slovenia itself who emigrated when she was 11. They lived in Maple Heights with the other Jordan sisters in Teta Bazi's house (upstairs of duplex) until Dave was about to begin school. They then moved to the neighborhood around St Lawrence church so the kids could walk to school. Dave was the oldest of his siblings.Janice Saba
Janice was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana where her paternal grandparents had settled. Her father was from from what is now Lebanon but what was part of the Syrian lands back then before the war. And in fact, her father was born "in transit" on the ship on the way over;. The story is that Abraham Jr, the third child, was born on a family trip back to Lebanon to visit family. As they had the option, they had his birth certificate issued in Mississippi where they lived. The first four children of her grandparents were born in Mississippi while the youngest in Bogalusa. The 1930 census is incorrect in listing all the children born in Louisiana. The 1920 census is correct in listing Abraham Jr (listed as "Saba") as born in Syria but he actually has a Mississippi birth certificate.Janice's mother ....
