We have finally, after 6 years, formally moved the family history to MyCuz.us, upgraded to the (latest) WebTrees software, and merged the disparate trees we had separately maintained at Modiharr.com. Next up is to merge in the Ancestry site research of Randy and relatives along with Ed's archive. Attempts to reach the old site land here. Unfortunately, many of the pointers (URL's with ID's like I46 or F27) had to be renumbered. So you may have to update links stored elsewhere. As happened a few years ago, all but the main tree are hidden from the public. User accounts will be reactivated shortly.
We have decided to activate email news groups to announce findings and activities with each family group. This so you do not have to sort through notices unrelated to your interests. See the various lists created named after each family (using the convention of the two spousal surnames; or three in special cases). You must join each list of interest. Some lists were started as far back as April 2009.
This is a temporary holding place and archive of Ed's many year effort, long before the internet, to develop his family tree. We saved it from an old Win 3.1 floppy disk. Eventually it will be merged into the others. Biggest challenge is to add in sources and documents, as he has and can find them.
Note: Marge's family, what few individuals there were, was removed to avoid overlap with the merge to the Kosak tree later. There were no facts, just individuals and a few families with names.
With a number of break throughs over the past 2 months, we have taken Jesse's family history back through his grandparents (both sides) and to the early 1800's. Check out the information here and on the Wiki. But be prepared -- there were variations of the spelling occurring regularly during the 1800's. (original post 3 July 2009)
MaryAnn Evans (nee Bobincheck) found our tree and family doing her own research. And we now found another second cousin Elaine M Krumlauf (grandaughter of Joseph Daniels (nee Suhovic)). So more data flowing in to fill out the history of the Suhovic side as we find more historic records and photos. Also found the Cuyahoga Probate Court repository. A great way to find maiden names! Happened across the Cleveland Necrology File database at the Cleveland Public Library. (Of all places, found it on a Slovenian Genealogy Society website from Slovenia after following some links related to the Jordan/Kosak tree.) Sadie, Jesse and Walter are all listed there as are others. Covers newspaper obits from roughly 1850 to 975. (originally posted 19 Jan 2009)
Bob Kastellic (Elizabeth "Betty" Jordan Kosak's nephew) had written an article on the history of the Slovenian National Home in Maple Heights published in AMERIŠKA DOMOVINA in a Special Edition on March 17, 1989. It is filled with references to many family members and friends. The article has been typed in and photos scanned by Gary Gorsha. (originally posted 24 Jan 2009)
Vladimir Rus (Elizabeth "Betty" Jordan Kosak's nephew) wrote an article about the Jordan clan. See Ameriska Domovina, 10 April 2008, Page 3. (originally posted 28 September 2008)

With the untimely death of Uncle Leroy Pat Harr, we were able to retrieve lots of information and meet Anna (Suhovic) Schwartz and her kids. They supplied a wealth of information to help organize the rough data that Walter Harr had provided so far. Enjoy the expanded data and photos.
